For the first time in history, we have the tools for trustless and transparent coordination. Blockchain networks democratize access to platforms and assets, unifying different groups for mutually beneficial outcomes.

Harnessing blockchains today is increasingly difficult. Any action of importance requires users to discover, specify, and maintain a series of transactions across a fragmented modular stack that is here to stay. One must not only know what they want, but become an expert in how to get it.

Backed by top investors like a16z Crypto Startup School and founded by a Harvard computer scientist, Axal makes agents usable and verifiable for tasks across the internet. From complex trading strategies to community engagement, users specify what they want through a simple natural language or programmatic interface. Axal handles agent sourcing, runs competitive auctions, and deals with payments. The platform is in production with top teams like Gitcoin.

Search engines and LLMs are portals to information; Axal will be a portal to any verifiable task.

You don’t want your legacy to be the same as every other developer, building mind-numbingly boring APIs or forgettable widgets for big tech. You hate the thought of landing SaaS partnerships that help no one but a few executives or doing bitch work for your boss. You care about your work, want to build something big, and win.

Too many talented people have become risk-averse sheep - we’re building a team, and building a platform, for those who take the leap. You’re getting in at the ground level of a startup building for an inevitable agent-based future, and we expect you to give this your all. We frankly couldn’t care less about the logos on your LinkedIn profile, how many years of experience you have, or how great you are at LeetCode if you don’t share our drive.

• The core team is based in NYC. You must be willing to move to work in-person (or travel frequently for the right talent).
• We move quickly. After applying, expect an initial discussion about your interest and background, a take home project/research task, and a final interview. The whole process will be <2 weeks.
• We compensate competitively in cash, equity, and benefits - we’ll cover food, housing, transport, and other NYC-related expenses so you can focus fully on shipping.
